Spring has sprung!

Hello again!

Two posts in one day! I must be on a roll haha!

Spring has officially sprung, the sun is shining, the flowers are out... and my hayfever has started :(

So in honour of spring and all things sunny I wanted to show you some flowers I made using the Sizzix Bigz flower daisies die.

The sizzix dies are really good and will cut through a few layers of cardstock at once so you make your flowers really quickly. The die is really versitile too. I've used it for cardmaking and scrapbooking aswell as for making these 3D flowers.

The centres of the flowers are all made with Stampin Up So Saffron and Whisper White cardstock. The large petals of the flowers are a mix of any bright, cheerful coloured card that I could get my hands on., some is Stampin Up, some is Bazzill, some is from the Paper Mill.

There are loads of tutorials out there to show you how to make these flowers. The tutorial I used was on YouTube by a lady called Noel (You can check out the video using this link and you can visit her blog and see photo instructions using this link.) They're so simple and look really nice. I made some for my Gran a while ago and she loves them, and the ones in the photo are in my bedroom window.

The vase and green sand are from Ikea incase anyone was wondering :)
